Meet Misty Servia, AICP
Certified Planner
A lifelong resident of the Sarasota/Bradenton area, Misty’s career includes not only twelve years with King Engineering as a certified planner in the private sector, but she also has nearly 18 years as a county planner.
Misty is a past local director for the American Planning Association (APA)-State of Florida, past president of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Florida Planning and Zoning Association, which also honored her with awards for Meritorious Service and Outstanding Innovation.
In 2013 Misty received a gubernatorial appointment to the Manatee County Housing Authority. She's a former member of the Bradenton Tree and Land Preservation Board and the Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program. And she currently represents Manatee County with the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Servia is a graduate of Florida State University. She and her husband Joaquin have three children, Alexandra (local mental health counselor), Joaquin (U.S. Navy) and Marc (U.S. Army).
